OUR PROGRAMS
Therapy & Counseling Support Program
At the Canine Impact Foundation, we harness the healing power of animals through our Therapy & Counseling Support Program, aimed at helping abuse victims, especially children, heal emotionally with therapy dogs. These trained dogs provide emotional comfort, reduce anxiety, and encourage openness, making therapy more effective.
Our program collaborates with licensed therapists to integrate therapy dogs into tailored sessions, creating a safe environment for survivors to heal. We support individuals affected by various forms of abuse, including children, domestic violence survivors, and those with PTSD.

Healing Hearts Initiative
Train & Transform
At the Canine Impact Foundation, we empower individuals to select and train their own service dogs. Our Choose & Train Program helps you choose a dog from our rescue partners or local shelters, followed by a personalized training program to build a strong bond.
Service dogs significantly benefit those facing trauma, anxiety, and PTSD, with studies showing that up to 82% of PTSD patients report reduced symptoms. They also help lower stress and improve emotional well-being.
By partnering with us, you gain a life-changing service dog while giving a rescue dog a second chance and a forever home. Together, we foster healing and empowerment, one paw at a time.
The Healing Hearts Initiative at the Canine Impact Foundation pairs trained dogs with individuals recovering from PTSD and trauma, fostering emotional support, companionship, and mutual healing. By thoughtfully matching survivors with Emotional Support or Service Dogs, we provide tailored training and ongoing support to create lasting, transformative bonds.
The Pawsitive Pathway Program
The Community Outreach Initiative at the Canine Impact Foundation promotes responsible pet ownership and the transformative power of therapy and service dogs. Through educational workshops, school and shelter visits, and hands-on demonstrations, we teach safe dog handling, responsible care, and the emotional and practical benefits these dogs offer. This initiative focuses on schools, shelters, and low-income communities, fostering empathy for animals and inspiring personal growth and healing through education and engagement.
OBJECTIVES & IMPLEMENTATION:
The Canine Impact Foundation’s primary objective is to empower survivors of abuse and trauma, as well as rescue dogs, by fostering healing and transformation through meaningful partnerships. We aim to provide emotional support, companionship, and life-changing assistance while promoting responsible pet ownership and education in communities. To achieve this, we implement comprehensive programs that include pairing survivors with trained service or emotional support dogs, hosting community outreach initiatives to educate on the benefits of therapy and service dogs, and offering ongoing training and resources for both individuals and families. Our tailored approach ensures that every program addresses the unique needs of participants, creating impactful and sustainable outcomes for people and animals alike.
